The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday approved the pre-arrest bail of two wives of Syed Khursheed Shah, central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, currently in the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in "assets beyond means" case. A two-member bench of SHC headed by Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh also approved the pre-arrest bail of six other persons in connection with the case related to Shah.

Eight persons including two wives of Shah approached the SHC and requested the court for bail in view of fear of their arrest at the hands of NAB in the case pertaining to Khursheed Shah. They submitted that they feared the arrest, although NAB didn't send them any call-up notice in this regard. They pleaded the court to restrain NAB from taking action against them.

SHC bench approved the bail of eight persons including two wives of Shah namely Bibi Talat and Gul Naz against the surety of Rs 0.5 million each. The court granted the bail till October 16, 2019. Court directed them to cooperate with the NAB during the investigations.
